Bennie Carl Spears

Rogersville – Bennie Carl Spears, 85 of Rogersville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Signature Healthcare in Rogersville following a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and graduated from Shoemaker High School. Bennie attended Keplar Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Effie Bruner Spears; sister, Audrey Salyers; brothers, Charles and James Spears. Bennie is survived by his sister, Allie Jennings and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dean Sturgill and Rev. Dewayne Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Spears family.
