Bobby Glen Carver, Sr.

Bobby “Glen” Carver, Sr. age 83, a native of Hawkins County, was called home on Friday, May 26, 2023. He was a loving father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great-grandfather. He attended Liberty Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and worked for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company for 25+ years. He was a tender hearted man who was always thinking of others. Glen liked to work with his hands, woodworking or just keeping busy at home. He loved to watch wrestling on TV and coached little league and T-Ball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Lelia Carver, 5 sisters, Ruth Russell, Mary Bowlin, Mamie Freeman, Naomi Bowlin and Alma Price; 3 brothers, Gene, Ralph and J.D. Carver.
He is survived by his 4 children, Sheryl (Tim) Edwards, Glenda (Lyn) Flick, Bobby “Butch” G. Carver, Jr. and Ronald Carver; 4 grandchildren, Chastity Chadwick, James R. Walters, Anna Carver and Madie-Grace Carver; 3 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Church Hill Memory Gardens in Church Hill, TN. All those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am.
The family wishes to especially thank the staff and residents at Crown Cypress Assisted Living for making Glen feel loved and for the wonderful care given to him, and also a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for their gentle care in his final days.
