Gary John Mehler

Gary John Mehler, age 77, of Church Hill, TN, formerly of Sebring, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Gary was born on November 3, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY to Edward and Catherine Mehler. He was a proud Navy veteran, having served during Vietnam, he was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Gary was retired from AT&T. Gary will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his brother George Mehler.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Mehler; sons Daniel (Karla) Mehler, Michael (Heather) McMillin, and Richard (Melissa) Hart; daughter Lori Grenier; as well as 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 1:00 pm. American Legion Hammond Post 3/265 will provide military honors.
