Helen Marie Wallen 74, of Kingsport passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at her home. She was a follower of God and a devoted Christian. She loved her family with all of her heart as well as her dog Cryus.
Helen was preceded in death by parents, James and Lula Mae Jones; son, Johnny Mellons, sisters, Shirley Jones and Lind Smith; brothers, Alvin Jones, Alfred Jones, and Robert Jones.
Survivors include her three step-sons, Thomas Wallen and wife Kim, Tim Wallen and wife Jessica and Ken Wallen and wife Tara; two step-daughters, Diane Carrico and husband Roger and Sandy lane and husband Kenny; brothers, Carl Jones, Jimmy Jones, and wife Lucille, and Dale Jones and wife Polly; sister, Peggy Stallard; friend and ex-husband, Ralph Wallen; along with several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Mitch Whisnant officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.
