Lester John Anderson Jr.

Lester John Anderson, Jr., 69, passed away November 21, 2018 at his home in Piney Flats, TN. John’s career as a Tennessee Walking Horse trainer spanned many years. He thoroughly enjoyed working and showing these beautiful horses. John was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Anderson, mother Bobbie Davis Anderson; father, Lester J. Anderson Sr., brother, Scotty B. Anderson, and nephew Miles Mahoney. John is survived by his daughter, Wanda Carol Rimer; grandson, Ethan Rimer; granddaughter, Madison Rimer; daughter, Tonya Little; son, Barry King and wife Tammy King; grandchildren Zackary Little, Peyton Little, Taylor Little, Hannah King, Jaden King; sister Wanda Bruner and husband Bob Bruner, Audrey Mahoney; nephews Robert Barton III, Johnathan Barton, Kelvin Mahoney ; niece, Cindy Winegar and husband Jason; great nieces and nephews, Sarah, Luke and Grant Winegar, and Ian Barton. John’s greatest joy was his grandchildren who knew him as Bobo and Papa. The family will receive friends from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday, November 24, 2018.A celebration of life service will follow. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Piney Grove Cemetery 1032 Caney Valley Loop, Surgoinsville, TN with Robert Barton III, Johnathan Barton, Scotty Anderson, Ethan Rimer, Michael Carter, Jackie Baron and Barry King serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is proudly serving the Anderson family.
