Linda Charlene Barton

Linda Charlene Barton, age 75, of Surgoinsville, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Linda was born in Rogersville, Tn on October 30, 1950, to Hale and Cinda Mowell. Linda retired from Alladin Plastics after almost 30 years of service. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Steve Barton; 6 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Jason Barton; granddaughter Maisie Barton; sister Barbara Bass; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation of family and friends will be held at Carter-Trent Funeral Home – Church Hill on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services to follow with Cody Miley officiating. Interment will follow at Fudges Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Chris Bass, Craig Bass, Brent Bass, Rocky Mowell, David Henard, and David Manis serving as pallbearers.
