Mary Hagood

Mary Ruth Hagood, 91 of Surgoinsville, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior on National Gorgeous Grandma Day, Saturday morning, July 23, 2022. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Surgoinsville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Grigsby “Jiggs” Hagood; parents, Robert and Lena Fudge Kensinger; brothers, John and Robert; sisters, Anna Esther, Louise, Eugenia, Roberta, Willie and Pauline. She is survived by her daughter, Reba(Jimmy) Burns; two grandchildren, James(Jason Weems) Burns and Jennifer(Brad) Jarnagin; one great-grandson, Braylon; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to send special thanks to her Smoky Mountain Hospice Nurses and family friends too numerous to name.
