Miss Eva Ann Saltz

April 11, 1962 — May 15, 2026

Miss Eva Ann Saltz was born April 11, 1962 she went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 15th, 2026 after a lifelong battle with Huntington’s disease.

Miss Eva was a graduate of Sullivan Central High School class of 1980. She also graduated with a master’s degree in psychology from East Tennessee State University. Later in life she became a mental health counselor for Frontier Health of Kingsport TN where she worked 16 years.

Miss Eva was a true woman of God anytime she was asked how she was, her statement was “I’m blessed and highly favored in the Lord”. She was also a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She has two beautiful grandbabies that absolutely adored her, she was always there when they needed her. Miss Eva had an amazing great grandson that unfortunately never got to really know her, but she loved him with an amazing love. Miss Eva will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Miss Eva was preceded in death by her father, Joe Wiley Brewer; mother, Ester Rose Morgan Brewer, Great Grandson, Asher Wyatt Trent; uncle, Gray Brewer; aunt, Dot Brewer.

Miss Eva is survived by her brother, Joe Brewer; daughter, Jessica Ann Altizer Trent, Grandson and family, Tanner Wyatt Trent and fiancé Elizabeth (Boo) Thompson and their son, Keaton Wyatt Trent; granddaughter and fiancé, Kelsey Anne Trent and Aiden Swatzell; stepson, Benjamin Darby Altizer; nephews, Alex Kessee and family (Allison, Peyton and Lexi), Shayne Cowden and family (Paige and son) Austin Cowden, Kevin and Zachary Altizer; niece, Lyndsay Altizer; special family, Eric and Amy Lockett, Faith Lockett and family, Jon Lockett and family; several cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. 

A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Eric Lockett officiating.
