Peggy June Simpson

Peggy June Simpson, age 73, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Mount Carmel. She was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family and grandchildren. Most of all, Peggy loved the Lord and believed in the power of prayer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Simpson; parents, Andy and Glessie Phillips; granddaughter, Harley Deanne Davis; and siblings, Beverly Cross, Sharon Compton and Rev. Gerald Bishop. She is survived by her daughter, Sultona Crawford (Henry); son, Shane Davis (Robin); and 3 grandchildren, Brandon, Jason and Kayla Crawford. The family wished to thank Johnson City Medical Center and Amedisys Hospice for their care and support for the family during this time. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Bro. Bo Westmoreland officiating. Interment will follow at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is proudly serving the Simpson family.
