Raymond Sanford Kinkead, 85, of Surgoinsville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Holston Manor.
Raymond was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. He served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1956-1958. He went on to retire from Holliston Mills after 30 faithful years of service. He was a charter member and Deacon of Smyrna Independent Missionary Baptist Church. Raymond was a very loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Worley and Florence Bailey Kinkead; brother, Everett “Buck” Kinkead; and sister, Rachel Kinkead.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Doris Roy Kinkead; son, Jeffrey Kinkead and wife Angela; daughter, Kathie Lucas and husband Douglas; grandchildren, Mahala Kinkead, Colton Kinkead, Ian Lucas and Derek Lucas; sisters, Wanda Caldwell, Frieda (Dolly) Bellamy, Jo Ann Willings, and Margaret Grow; brother, Roy Kinkead; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday July 26, 2019, from 6 to 8 PM at Smyrna Baptist Church, Surgoinsville, TN.
The funeral service will be held at Smyrna on Saturday July 27, 2019, beginning at 12:00 PM with Pastor Stephen Adams officiating.
A military graveside service will follow at 1PM at Surgoinsville Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers.
