Richard Ray Bellamy

Richard Ray Bellamy, 66, of Church Hill passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Rogersville to Kyle and Frieda Bellamy. Ray was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening. He was known for his carpentry skills and enjoyed working with his hands. His greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Kyle Bellamy. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Margaret Bellamy; sons, Chad Bellamy and wife Kristy, Joshua Bellamy and wife Candice; grandchildren, Angel, Annie, Alexis, and Coleton; one great-grandchild on the way, Lorelai Rae; mother, Frieda Bellamy; brothers, Randall Bellamy and wife Debbie, Terry Bellamy and wife Teresa, George Bellamy and wife Betty, and Jake Bellamy and wife Vickie; sister, Donna Easley and husband Robert; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.  

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A funeral service will follow with Brother Junior Bowery officiating.  

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Bethel Community Cemetery with his family serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.
