Mr. Roy Wayne McClellan, 71, of Kingsport, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was the son of the late Henry D. and Lillian Bellamy McClellan. In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by six brothers, Carl, Ray, Benny, JC, Cotton and Bob; one sister, Wanda.
He was a retired truck driver, attended Freedom Baptist Church and in his free time enjoyed riding the roads of Bloomingdale on his Harley.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of almost twenty years, Joan Davis McClellan; seven children, Greg McClellan (Stephanie), Chris McClellan, Kim Fultz (AL), Pam Smith (Michael), April Bays (Matt), Amanda Berry, Amber Smith (Brian); grandchildren, Peyton, Michael, Katie, Austin, C.J., Shyann, Seth, Hayden; great grandchild, Noah; special friends, Olen (Shorty) Mullins and Fred Collins; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh and Pastor Brian McClellan officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Click Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Curtis Lancy, Jerry Evans, Buddy McClellan, Matt Bays, Michael Smith, and Austin Castle. Honorary pallbearers are Greg and Chris McClellan. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM. Thursday.
