Sylvia (Sylvie) Jean Mauk, born June 6th, 2003, went to be with the Lord on September 16th, 2025.

Sylvia was the beloved daughter of Lance Mauk and Heather Dixon. She was a caring mother to her son, Kaisei James Mauk, who was the light of her life. She was also a cherished sister to Calvin Ray Mauk, Madison and Raegan Dixon.

She is preceded in death by her paternal Grandparents Calvin and Jean Mauk, Maternal Grandfather Dennis Bishop, first cousins Josh Bishop and Kenneth Carr.

Sylvia will be remembered as a gorgeous, joyful light to all who knew her. Her laughter, happiness, and caring nature touched countless lives. She faithfully served as a Personal Care Assistant in Asbury Communities, where her vibrant personality she brought comfort, love, and companionship to her residents, who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her precious son, Kaisei; her father, Lance Mauk; her mother, Heather Dixon; her brother, Calvin Mauk; and her sisters, Madison and Raegan Dixon. She is also survived by her grandmother, Sylvia Bishop; her grandparents, Jim and Lana Dixon; and her former stepfather, Jon Dixon. In addition, she leaves behind her aunts, April Morelock, Nikki Bishop, Tara Dixon, Lindsey Dixon, Lisa Manis, and Lynett Moore; her uncles, Tommy Manis, Michael Morelock, Dennis “Butch” Bishop, and Michael Bishop; as well as many cousins, including a special cousin, Brandi Jarnigan.

Sylvia’s legacy of kindness, joy, and love will continue to live on through her son, her family, and all who were blessed to know her.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home – Church Hill with funeral service starting at 1:00pm with Pastor Allen McMillan officating. A graveside service will follow at Church Hill Memory Gardens with Calvin Mauk, Tyler Berry, Brayden Morelock, Spencer Hickman, Alex Collins, Michael Morelock, Tommy Manis serving as pallbearers.
