Steve Edward Lett

Steve Edward Lett, 70, of Kingsport formerly of Powell, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was born in Knoxville, TN to the late Charles and Shirley Lett. Steve worked as a Department of Energy Contractor at Y-12, X-10, K-25, and Watts Bar Nuclear Plant for 32 years. He was a longtime youth baseball coach in the Powell Community. Steve devoted his time to helping youth in the area through coaching as well as numerous hours maintaining the fields where they played. He was an avid Golfer and loved watching his granddaughter play soccer. Steve loved being outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He was a loving husband, father, paps, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Judy Lett; son, Frank Lett and wife Sarah; granddaughter, Blakely Lett; along with a host of friends and extended family.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens (160 Edgemoor Rd. Powell, TN 37849) with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kingsport Community Foundation in care of East Tennessee Foundation 525 Portland Street, Knoxville, TN 37919.
