Velma Ray Littleton Alvis

Velma Ray Littleton Alvis, 74, of Church Hill, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020, at her residence. Velma was a lifelong resident of Church Hill. She was the daughter of the late Glen and Gladys Light Littleton. Velma was a member of Bradshaw’s Chapel Church. She enjoyed being in church and loved singing in the church. In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Paul Alvis; three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Norma Bryant; granddaughters, Laura Bowling, Tera Mitchell and Linda Mitchell; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family of Velma Ray Littleton Alvis will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. The graveside committal service will follow in the Church Hill Memory Gardens. Rev. Ed McClain and Rev. Andy Sensabaugh will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Michael Caldwell, Spender Faxon, Wayne Dilks, Justin Hall, Brandon Carter and Michael Bentley.
