Virgie Marie Russell

Marie Russell, age 80, of Mount Carmel, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at her home following a brief illness. She was a member of Liberty Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Mount Carmel. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be greatly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, April Barrett. She is survived by 3 sons, Bruce Russell (Marie), Mark Russell (Deanna) and Chris Russell (Jessica); grandchildren, Bobby Russell, Travis Russell, Haley Russell, Peyton Russell and Julia Barrett; great-granddaughter, Avery Russell; 2 brothers, Stewart Christian (Jenny) and Darrell Christian (Linda); sister, Clyde Stanifer; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A Prayer Service will begin at 6:00 pm in the chapel with Rev.
