Alicia Ann Hicks

Alicia Ann Hicks, age 34, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Indian Path Medical Center following an unexpected illness. She was a born again Christian loving her Lord and Savior but was of the nondenominational faith. She loved children and enjoyed caring for all of her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by many and never forgotten. She was preceded in death by her mother, Johnnie Mae Woods; daddy, Gordon Sloan; brother, Jimmy Maxwell; niece, Tiffany Crawford; and several grandparents. She is survived by her momma, Lena Sloan; father, Alan Hicks (Star); sisters, Chantilly Hicks, Val Riner (Craig), Sharon Sloan, and Amber Sloan (Brandon); brothers, Wayne Neff, Tony Sweeney (Sharon), Anthony Sweeney and Brian Sloan; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the ICU staff of Indian Path Medical Center for their care and support for Alicia. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. Memorial services will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Morelock officiating. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in downtown Kingsport is proudly serving the Hicks family.
