Alta Faye Thomas

Alta Faye Davidson Thomas, age 69, of the Yuma community in Scott County, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. She was a LPN at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital for 36 years. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Elmer Davidson. She is survived by her mother, Lydia Davidson; sister, Edith Tate (Harold); nieces, Rebecca Green and Sarah Jones (James); nephew, Andy Tate (Amanda); great-nieces, Kaylee Green, Kyndall Green, Briana Jones; and 2 soon to be great- nieces, Natalie Jones and Aubree Tate; several aunts and many cousins. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital ICU and Wilcox Hall 3rd floor for their loving care and support for Faye and her family. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City, VA. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm with Preacher Samuel Newland and Pastor Scott Fields officiating and eulogy by nephew, Andy Tate.
