Amber Kasey Brooks

Piney Flats - Amber Kasey Kirkpatrick Brooks, 30 of Piney Flats, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Bristol, TN and lived in Piney Flats. She was the little girl in a wheel chair at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Blountville, who grew up and married a preacher, Corey Brooks and had her little son, Markus. Upon Corey becoming pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Johnson City, Amber then became a member there. Amber is survived by her husband, Corey Brooks; her 4-year old son, Markus; mother and step-father, Tammy and Mike Markus; father and step-mother, Casey and Marcy Kirkpatrick; in-laws, Zane and Theresa Brooks; sister, Ashley Kirkpatrick; brother, Clinton Kirkpatrick; brothers-in-law, Johnny and Zane Lee Brooks; maternal grandparents, Johnny and Judy Neal; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and her church family. The family will receive friends from 12 - 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1177 Fairview School Road, Blountville, TN. A funeral service will follow at the church with Pastor Dwayne Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
