Barbara Casarano

Betty Casarano, age 93, of Kingsport TN, formerly of Ashburn, VA and Billerica, MA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Holston Rehabilitation and Care Center in Kingsport, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carman Charles Casarano; daughter, Margaret Tammaro; and grandsons, Brian and Gregory Tammaro. She is survived by her loving daughter, Ann Craig (David) of Kingsport, TN; son-in-law, Arthur Tammaro (Susan) of Cape Coral, FL; 2 grandchildren, Lynn Tammaro of Lowell, MA and Kimberly Peters (Travis) of Gate City, VA; and great-granddaughter, Maggie Peters of Gate City, VA. Betty was one of nine children born and raised in Germany where she met and married Carman shortly after WWII. Betty emigrated to the United States in 1952 and became a permanent citizen in 1957. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, located at 520 Watauga St. Kingsport, TN 37660. Betty will be laid to rest at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 with Bro. Brad Price officiating and special music provided by Brad and Jessica Price.
