Bert Yakley

Bert Yakley of Kingsport, was born on September 8, 1918 and went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2017 after a period of declining health. He was a member of Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church and retired from Mead Paper Corporation. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vonda Yakley, two sisters, Belva Forbes and Dorothy Conkin and three brothers, Cecil Yakley, Willis Yakley and John Jr. Yakley. Survivors include his two daughters, Vivian Bays & husband Mike and Connie Yakley; sister, Trixie Forbes; brother, Edward Yakley; grandson, Brent Bays & wife Lauren; three great-grandsons, Austin Bays, Gavin Bays and Saul Bays. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Monday, January 23, 2017 at East Lawn Memorial Park, Kingsport. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of the local animal shelters. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Brookhaven Manor for the great care they gave to our Dad. Carter-Trent funeral home, Kingsport, is serving the Yakley family.
