Betty Jean Cook, age 91 of Kingsport, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024. Betty was born on June 15, 1932, in Kingsport, TN to Lawrence and Alice Belle Cook. Betty graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 1951, and in 1952, she started her 56-year career with Dobyns-Bennett. Betty loved to cross-stitch, crochet, and of course, she loved to read. Betty enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Bulls; however, her favorite sport’s team was the Dobyns-Bennett Indians.
