Betty M. Green

Mrs. Betty M. Green, 90, of Kingsport went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, October 19, 2019; she was surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born in Memphis, Tennessee but has been a resident of Kingsport for 17 years. She was the daughter of Sara Gaskell McDonald and Ruth Manry McDonald. Betty was a member of Waverly Road Presbyterian Church. She loved gardening and reading and caring for her family. Survivors include her beloved husband of 71 years, Charles A. “Chuck” Green; two daughters, Patricia G. Lewis and her husband Clay and Talea G. Tatro and her husband Leonard; one son Todd Green; three grandchildren, Joe Maltby, Katie Pumphrey, and Andy Lewis; one great grandson Samuel Pumphrey. A celebration of life service will be held at Waverly Road Presbyterian Church, Kingsport TN on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Kingsport City Public Library and Waverly Road Presbyterian Church.
