Betty Jo Harris

Betty Jo Harris, 74, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 2, 2026, at NHC of Johnson City. She was born in Kingsport to the late Earnest and Matta Arrington. She was a member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church and spent her life caring for her beloved spouse Roger Harris. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roger Harris; brother, Larry Arrington; sister, Sue Fitzgerald.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews who will always cherish the time they spent with her.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3pm on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Bro. Wade Childress officiating. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bloomingdale Baptist Church.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is serving the Harris family.
