Bishop Dennis Dean Livingston

Bishop Dean Livingston, age 69, of Bristol, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was in full-time ministry for 50+ years, which included, pastoring, evangelism, singing and playing music. He was currently the Senior Pastor of Soul's Harbor Church in Bristol, VA and Souls Life Center in Elizabethton, TN. Being a piano technician, he enjoyed refurbishing and bringing back to life old pianos and organs. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who love him. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dennis Livingston III; parents, Joseph and Mary Livingston; and brother, Darrell Livingston. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gloria Livingston; son, Denny Livingston and wife, Alonna; daughter, Shana Livingston; grandchildren, Brittany Potter and husband, Jason, Angelynna Livingston, Hannah Livingston, Amelia Livingston, Faustino Livingston, Brooklyn Livingston and MaKendra Livingston; 2 brothers, Dwight Livingston and wife, Jeannie, and Gary Livingston and wife, Brenda; sister, Marsha Linkous and husband, Steve; sister-in-law, Judy Livingston-Fleenor; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Lighthouse Church in Kingsport, TN. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor David Peters, Bishop Spencer McCool Sr. and Pastor Denny Livingston officiating. Entombment services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport, TN. All those wishing to attend the entombment service are asked to meet at East Lawn Memorial Park at 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions and donations may be sent to Soul's Harbor Church in Bristol, VA. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in downtown Kingsport is proudly serving the Livingston family.
