Curtis David Hurd

Curtis David Hurd 74, of Mt. Carmel went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at his residence. He was retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 28 years. Curtis was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Gladys Hurd; son, Jeff Hurd; sister, Peggy Hurd. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years Margaret Cowden Hurd; two daughters, Sharon Swearingen and husband Troy, Michelle Werner; son, Michael Hurd; grandchildren, Nicholas Hurd, Isaac Hurd, Katie Pangle, Kayla Leidenbor, Zachary Swearingen, Alexander Swearingen, Lindsey Horton, Gunner Werner, and Layne Hurd; great grandchildren, Curtis Hurd, Victoria Hurd, James Hurd, Jackson Hurd, Madeline Pangle; along with a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Freedom Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel. A memorial service will follow with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Carter- Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is serving the Hurd family.
