Dan Junior Gibson

Dan Gibson 70 of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center. His hobbies were painting and pitching horseshoes. Dan's pride and joy was his children and grandchildren. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Dan Gibson and Mary Ford Gibson; brothers, Eugene Elmer Gibson and Harold Gibson. Survivors include his wife and caretaker, Patricia Gibson; daughter, Suprina Gibson; son, Jason Gibson and wife Cristal; grandchildren, Destiny Begley and husband Brandon, Dakota Gibson, Brooke Gibson, Sierra Gibson, and Preston Gibson; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Alissa, Alley, and Aliyah Begley; a beloved longtime friend, Mike Moffitt. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 5 pm to 7pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Chris Salley officiating. A graveside service will be held 1pm Friday, May 20, 2016 at Beulah Community Cemetery, Mike Moffitt, Donnie Brown, Michael Smith, Brandon Begley, Jason Gibson, and Scott Greer will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 PM to go in procession to the cemetery. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport 1s serving the Gibson family.
