Danny Gene Mullins

Revelation 21:4, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Danny Gene Mullins, age 62 of Kingsport, TN entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Danny was born on June 18, 1961, in Kingsport, TN. Early in Danny’s life, he enjoyed playing all kinds of sports. He was a huge fan of UT Football and the Atlanta Braves. Danny enjoyed his time with his family and those who knew Danny will truly miss him. Danny was preceded in death by his birth parents, Verlin Murray and Margaret Caine; his adoptive parents, Glen and Dolly Mullins; brother, Bill Murray, and uncle, Sam Mullins. Those left to cherish Danny’s memory are his twin brother, Lanny Mullins and wife Lavada; sister, Angela Harvey and husband JR; three nephews, Benjamin Mullins, Brandon Harvey and wife Stephanie, and Connor Harvey; two nieces, Aubrey Mullins, and Cheyenne Barger and husband Brandon; uncles and aunts, Joseph Mullins and wife Brenda, David Mullins and wife Joyce, Carolyn Mullins, and Brenda Mullins; and many loving family members. There will be a visitation on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Gravelly Baptist Church. A memorial service honoring Danny will follow at 5:00 pm with Pastors Stephen Keene and Morris Baker officiating. Carter Trent Funeral Home Kingsport is serving the Mullins family.
