Denise "Nicey" Stump

Denise “Nicey” Stump, 65, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her home. 

She was born in Miami, Florida to the late Hubert and Mary Lou Stump. Denise was a member of the Pembroke Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts especially painting ceramics. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mother and grandmother.  Denise was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Survivors include her daughter, Samantha Holley and husband Joshua; grandson, Noah Roy; granddaughter, Brenna Holley;  brother, Michael Stump; sisters, Monica Sorenson and husband Tom, Michelle Clark and husband Joe; special friend, Robin Backlund and her family; along with a host of friends and extended family.  

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am.
