Donna Kay Lemmons

Donna Kay Lemmons, 55, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Kingsport, TN to the late Donald and Geraldine Lemmons. Donna was a devoted member of Orebank Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Leader, and faithfully assisted with Ignite Kids, Food Pantry, Clothing Giveaway, as well as being an active member of the Forever Young Senior Adult Ministry, along with any other opportunity she had to serve the Lord. She enjoyed baking and had competed in baking competitions at the Appalachian Fair for over 20 years where she won numerous ribbons. Donna was a loving daughter, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her boyfriend, Tim "Buckwheat" White; close friend, June Sutherland.

Survivors include her special cousin, Shelby Starnes and husband Jeff; devoted friends, Diana and Junior Bowen; along with several cousins and a host of Forever Young friends.

The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Orebank Missionary Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow with Pastor Travis McKee, Pastor David Bolden, and Pastor Scott Vaughn officiating.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Orebank Missionary Baptist Church (Ignite Kids) at 5930 Orebank Rd. Kingsport, TN 37664.
