Donnie Ray Taylor

Donnie Ray Taylor, age 68, of Hiltons, VA, went to be with the Lord and earned his angel wings on Sunday, January 10, 2016, following a lengthy illness at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, TN. He was a member of Barker's Chapel Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and cherished his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Ayden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and LaVonna Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Brenda Taylor; sons, Mark Taylor (Delia) and Donovan Taylor; grandchildren, Mackenzie Hassebrock (Trenton) and Ayden Taylor; 2 brothers, Ronnie Taylor and Mike Taylor (Teresa); sister, Jean Grizzle (Lowell); and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City, VA. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Jimmy Combs officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Peters Cemetery in Hiltons, VA.
