Dustin Heath Collins

Dusty Collins, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend to many, passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 46.

He was known for his enormous heart, goofy personality, and the quiet, steady way he showed up for others. If someone needed help, he was there—no questions asked, no hesitation. He worked hard every single day of his life, not for recognition, but because that’s just who he was: dependable, selfless, and deeply committed to the people he loved.

He found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. Whether he was out fishing, building something with his hands, or just enjoying the outdoors, he was happiest when he was creating or connecting. Above all else, he treasured his time with his beloved pup, Sugar. The two were inseparable, and their bond brought him endless comfort and happiness.

Preceded in death by his Father Jefferey Collins.

He is survived by his mother, Patty Collins; siblings, Becky and her husband Terry Qualls, Dena Collins, and Chris Collins; children, Lindsay Collins, Kaitlyn Collins, Clayton Collins, Emma McMurray; grandchildren, Liam Livesay and Adeline Reed;  very close friends, Ernie and Lori Ensor; special buddy, Calvin Qualls; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
