Eddie Bledsoe

Eddie Ray Bledsoe Sr, of Blountville, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with Parkinsons disease, surrounded by his family, September 23rd, 2014. A native of Duffield, VA, he attended Bible Way Baptist Church for over 45 years. Eddie was a skilled craftsman. He worked as a machinist for 23 years with the Kingsport Foundry. He then went into business for himself as a carpenter for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Bledsoe and June Durham; and brother, Hubert Bledsoe Jr He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Helen Wacks Bledsoe; two daughters, Tina Roller and husband Gerald and Tammy Bledsoe; son, Eddie Bledsoe Jr and wife Pam; ten grandchildren, Brook, Randa, Tyler, Alisha, Sarah, Michelle, Emily, Natalie, Ethan and Jeremy; two great grandchildren, Madelyn and Blakeleigh; special niece and nephews, Teresa Pinnex , Guy Bledsoe and Ricky Bledsoe and several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Thursday at Bible Way Baptist Church 570 Packing House Rd. Kingsport, TN. A service will follow at 7 with Pastor Rick Vannoy officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Rick Vannoy and Rev. Charles Long officiating. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the church by 10:10 to follow in procession. Pallbearers will be nephews.
