Edith Mae Williams

Edith Mae (Falin) Williams, age 92, of Weber City, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at The Villages at Allandale. She was born and raised in Robinette Valley in Scott County, VA, and was the daughter of James and Maudella (Ramey) Falin. She was a member of Sallie's Chapel Church. A strong woman of faith, she lived her daily life as an example of Christ's love by helping, encouraging and loving others. Edith was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a strength to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Williams; son, Conley Erwin Williams; infant siblings, James and Peggy Falin; brothers, Cecil Falin and Billy Falin; and sister, Betty Bishop. She is survived by her sons, Renda Paul Williams and wife, Gail, of Church Hill, TN, Myron Williams and wife, Libba, of Dothan, AL; daughters, Daphine Winegar and husband, Wayne, of Kingsport, TN, and Rebecca Johnson of Kingsport, TN; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Falin, Roy Falin and Robert Falin and wife, Reta Kate; sister, Barbara Butler; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank the staff of "Yesterday's Place" at The Villages at Allandale and Amedysis Hospice, for their loving care and support for their mother during her declining health. The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City, VA. Funeral services will begin at 6:30 pm with Pastor George Winegar officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Holston View Cemetery.
