Ella Brummitt Kerns

ELLA BRUMMITT KERNS Kingsport- Ella Brummitt Kerns, 77, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord early Thursday morning (December 1, 2016) following a recent decline in her health. She retired from Piccadilly Cafeteria after 10 years of service. Mrs. Kerns was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Baron Dale Kerns (October 27, 2016); a son, Timothy Baron Kerns; her sister, Freda Brummitt Cassidy; brothers, Robert Brummitt and David Lynn Brummitt. Ella Brummitt Kerns is survived by her daughter, Sandra Gay Wyrick and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Russell Payne and wife, Laci, Phillip Wyrick and wife, Yan, Christopher Wyrick and wife, Levita; a brother, Clyde Duane Brummitt and wife, Denise along with several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Calling hours will be held on Sunday (December 4, 2016) from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will be held on Sunday (December 4, 2016) at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Edwards, officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral at East Lawn Memorial Park with her grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Kerns family.
