Ella S. Byington

Ella Shiloney Byington, age 69, born August 15, 1948, of Surgoinsville, heard the call to Heaven on Monday, December 25, 2017. She was a life-long member of Pink Hill Primitive Baptist Church and was very proud to be a child of God. She loved her family and held her grandchildren very dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Pearlie Linkous; sister, Evelyn Linkous; and grandchild, Casey Lynn Casteel. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert Franklin Byington, Jr.; 2 daughters, Melissa A. Casteel and husband, Eddie, and Regina M. Hodges and husband, Anthony; 4 grandchildren, Ethan Casteel, Eli Casteel, Michelle Hodges and Cody Hodges; great-grandson, Cambren Hodges; father, Joe Lee Linkous; 3 brothers, Jerry Linkous and wife, Barbara, Michael Linkous and wife, Carolyn, and William Dewey Linkous; very special sisters-in-law, Bertha Byington and Barbara Lindsey; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Pink Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 1607 Caney Valley Loop, Surgoinsville. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Richard Watts and Rev. Blake Cantwell officiating. Music will be provided by the church. Burial will follow at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
