Eunice Jean Carver

May 11, 1941 — May 25, 2026

Eunice Jean Carver, 85, of Kingsport, went to be with her Lord on May 25, 2026. She was a woman of unwavering faith, deep love, and quiet strength. For many of us, she was not only a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great -great grandmother and friend — she was the steady foundation of her family and a faithful servant of God.

For nearly 50 years, Jean faithfully attended Bible Way Baptist Church at 570 Packing House Road in Kingsport. Her church was more than a place she attended; it was her home, her refuge, and the center of her spiritual life. She loved the Lord wholeheartedly, and she lived her faith daily through kindness, prayer, encouragement, and devotion to others.

Jean leaves behind a big loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Sheryl Edwards and husband Tim, Glenda Flick and husband Lyn, Bobby “Butch” Carver, and Ronnie Carver. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Chastity Chadwick, James Walters, Maddie Grace Carver Light, and husband Cody, and Anna Carver. Three great grandchildren, Samantha Flanagan Argabright, and husband Justin, Jacob Manning, and Ashley Manning Hubbard and husband Hunter. Seven great-great grandchildren Lexie Argabright, Ace Argabright, Grace Manning, Fisher Manning, Knox Manning, Diesel Hubbard, and Axle Hubbard.

She left behind two brothers, Paul Donels, Jerry Donels (Linda), and four sisters, Sally Donels Russell (Dennis), Millie Donels Hughes (Ronnie), Dianne Donels Catron, (Howard), and Audrey Donels Greer (Harry).

Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, her steadfast faith, and the example she set through a life well lived. She showed us what it means to remain faithful through every season of life. Even in difficult times, her trust in God never wavered.

While our hearts grieve her absence today, we also celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind — a legacy of faith, family, love, and devotion. We can find comfort knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord she served so faithfully for so many years.

The family will receive friends from 11am until 12 pm on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Bible Way Baptist Church, 570 Packing House Rd, Kingsport, Tennessee. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Rick Vannoy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bible Way Baptist Church, 570 Packing House Rd. Kingsport, TN 37660 in honor of Eunice Jean Carver and her lifelong, commitment to her church and faith.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever treasured in our hearts.
