Evelyn Virginia Mcconnell

Evelyn Virginia McConnell 86, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Indian Path Medical Center. Evelyn especially enjoyed with her grandson and great-grandchildren. She was an avid supporter of the Atlanta Braves. She is preceded in death by her parents, Worley and Etta Mae Jordan; two brothers, Leon Jordan and Beecher Jordan; sister, Merle Wright. Survivors include her son, John McConnell; grandson, Brett McConnell and wife Tara; great-grandchildren, Riley and Brayden McConnell; special sister, Bonnie Pearson and husband Ralph, sister, Beddie Decker; three brothers, Jack Jordan, Joe Jordan and wife Florence, and Roger Jordan and wife Mary Ruth; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 6pm on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Rev. Paul Blessing officiating. Scott County Funeral Home is serving the McConnell family.
