Frances Marian Brown

Frances Marian Leffler Brown, 93 of Church Hill, passed away on Sunday July 3, 2016 at her home following a brief illness. Born in Riverside, California, She had lived in the Kingsport area before moving to Church Hill in 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Kermit Brown; parents, Ray and Matilda Thori Leffler; sister, Eleanor Groom. Frances is survived by her daughters, Diane Brown and Susan Norton and husband Dr. Ben Norton all of Church Hill; sons, Dr. Stephen Brown and wife Jacque of Long Beach, CA and Dr. David Brown and wife Nicole of Pacific Grove, CA; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4-4:30 p.m. Saturday July 9, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 4:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Ryder officiating. A eulogy will be given by Dr. Rebekah Cote. Music will be provided by Dr. Ardel Gorospe, Jenny Grospe, and Jeff Dunn. Burial will be in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Brown family.
