George “Rudy” Anderson, 81, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2024 following a brief illness.
Rudy enjoyed woodworking, yard selling, gardening, working on the farm, and coaching softball. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George P. and Gaynelle Potter Anderson; daughter, Melinda Anderson James; sister, Carol Anderson Smith; brother, Gary Dean Anderson.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Brenda Peterson Anderson; twin daughters, Jodie Anderson (Doug), Jamie Anderson (Allen); grandchildren, Katie James, Victoria Cole, Sophia Harvey, and Jesse Cole; great-granddaughter, Jazlynn Harvey; son-in-law, Al James; brother, Robert Anderson; along with a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with Pastor Bob Underwood officiating. Pallbearers will be Doug McDavid, Allen McGlocklin, Jesse Cole, Dusty Roberts, Travis Johnson, and Ben Anderson.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is serving the Anderson family.
