Gilda Fields

GILDA FIELDS Mount Carmel- Gilda Frost Fields, 70, of Mount Carmel, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday night (February 23, 2016) at Church Hill Health Care and Rehab Center. She was a lifelong resident of this area. Gilda was a homemaker who enjoyed canning and gardening. Mrs. Fields belonged to Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Melvin Fields; a son, Donald Wesley Fields; her father, Odell Frost; mother, Elsie Dean. Gilda Fields is survived by her daughter, Jessica Fields; sisters, Alanna Ferrell, Scarlot Frost and Keith Cox; a brother, Shawn Frost and fiancé, Donna Byington along with several nieces and nephews. A special thank you goes out to Church Hill Health Care and Rehab Center for the special loving care given during her illness. They truly made her feel like she was at home. Calling hours will be held on Friday (February 26, 2016) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday (February 26, 2016) at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wayne McCarty and Rev. Glenn Ketron, officiating. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday (February 27, 2016) at 1 p.m. at Chestnut Grove Church Cemetery in Eidson, TN. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Fields family.
