Jack Charles Freeman

Jack Charles Freeman, age 85, of Surgoinsville, TN, passed away December 18, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, following a brief illness. Jack was born in Dante, VA, the son of Luther and Anna Freeman. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served as a sergeant in the Korean Conflict in 1947. He retired after 25+ years of service from AFG Industries, Greenland Plant. Having grown tired of retirement he was employed with Ted's Supply in Rogersville for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and his son Danny Freeman. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ina Freeman; son, Jim Freeman and wife, Sherry; grandsons, Jerod Freeman, John Freeman, Dustin Freeman and wife, Beth, and Marshall Tucker; granddaughter, Michaela Freeman; special friends, Tip and Sailor; special cousin, Rita Jo; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Monday, December 22, 2014, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Rip Noble officiating. A Military Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Church Hill Memorial Gardens. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is proudly serving the Freeman family.
