James Allen Collette

James Allen Collette, 79, of Fall Branch went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 27, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born in Kingsport, TN to the late Robert and Lillie Collette. James enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing as well as the Tennessee Volunteers and the New York Yankees. He was a loving partner, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert, Buford, and Robert Collette. 

Survivors include his loving companion and friend, Frances Hall; sister, Barbara McNally; along with his children and several nieces and nephews.  

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel.  

A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.  

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.  

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Ballad Health Cancer Center as well as Ballad Hospice for their loving care.
