Janet Ruth Berry

Janet Ruth Berry, age 67, of Church Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 27, 2017 at her residence. She attended Van Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who love her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny D. Berry; parents, Johnnie and Billie "Blue Eyes" Sneed; step-son, Jimmy Lee Berry; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her daughter, Jade Proffitt; sister, Carol Hopson and husband, Garry, of Hampton; 4 step-children, Darrell Berry, Tracy Couch and husband, Bobby, Heather Cradic and husband, Kevin, all of Church Hill and Ann Lawson of Kingsport; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; special friends, David Kincheloe and Chris Reeves both of Church Hill; several nieces and nephews. The family will be having a private scattering service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
