Janet Elizabeth Sandidge

Janet Elizabeth Sandidge, age 63, of Surgoinsville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Surgoinsville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who love her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Norma Netherland; and sister, Carolyn Wiggs. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John C. Sandidge; son, Doug Sandidge (Gretchen); 3 grandchildren, Madison Sandidge, Mason Sandidge and Peyton Sandidge; sister, Patsy Norris (Lynn); brother, Bob Netherland (Mary); special nephews who were like her second sons, Jeremy, Jason and Jared Norris; aunt, Juree Bass; uncle, Tolby McPheron; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill, or anytime at the home of sister, Patsy Norris. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Paul Seay officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
