Jerry Lloyd

Jerry Lynn Lloyd 65, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 8, 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Jerry enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fan of the NHRA. He also enjoyed restoring antique cars and attending car shows. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lola Lloyd; brothers, Paul Lloyd, Bill Lloyd, Jimmy Lloyd, and Wayne Lloyd; brother-in-law, Rev. Ellis Crawford; nephews, James Lloyd Jr., Allen Canter. Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years Susan Lloyd; son, Daniel Lloyd and wife Carrie; daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Lloyd; step-children, Matthew Cowden and Terrie Slemp; grandchildren, Aaron Choplin, Taylor Lloyd, and Lauren Lloyd; sisters, Shirley Crawford and Mary Emma Anderson; step-great-grandchildren, Aimee Pryor, Luke Pryor, Jake Pryor, Chesney Cowden, Christen Cowden, Colton Cowden, Sydney Cowden, Madison Landis, and Warren Landis; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Rev. David Crawford and Pastor Greg Street, officiating. Music will be provided by Kim and Ronnie Absher. A graveside service will be conducted at 3pm on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Mt. Mitchell Cemetery in Church Hill. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 2pm to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will also receive friends anytime at Mrs. Shirley Crawford's residence. Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport is serving the Lloyd family.
