Jessica Darnell

Jessica Lee Clark Darnell, 84 of Kingsport went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday January 28, 2016 at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Scott County and had resided in Kingsport. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Betty Morgan Clark; brothers, A.M. Clark, Ernest Clark, and Worley Clark; sisters, Bertha Rhoton, Oma Harper, Bessie Stallard, Usley Depew, Virginia Castle and twin sister, Betty Jean Clark. She is survived by her three daughters, Marcella Lofty and husband Bill, Teresa Barker and husband Bruce and Beverly Standifer; sons, James Atkins and wife Ada, and Jonathan Atkins and wife Claudia; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday February 1, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Atkins officiating. A graveside service will be held at 12 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Barker and Aran Barker. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:50 am. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is serving the Darnell family.
