Jonathan David Ford 47, of Kingsport passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his home. Jonathan was born in Okinawa, Japan to John and Diana Ford. Being from a military family he traveled extensively before enlisting himself in the U.S. Army. Before his retirement in 2002, he served as an Intelligence Analyst. Jonathan was a well-educated man having earned an MBA, BA, along with several associates degree’s from various universities. He was a very gifted chef and loved preparing meals for his family. Jonathan was a devoted husband and family man. In addition to his parents those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and companion, Rebecca Fillers Ford; children, Zachary Ford, Cortney “Alex” Ford Skinner, Holly McLean Sauceman, Kayla McLean Fancher, and Jacob Ford; grandchildren, Lilly Sauceman, Ezra Sauceman, Skyler Fancher, Ellie Fancher, Evelyn Skinner, and Zariah Ford; four legged friends, Onslow, Angel, and Nitiri; his beloved Blue Bear; special friend, Dr. Chris Shipley and wife Annetta. The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Kenny Price officiating. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Kingsport Rescue Squad for their professionalism.
