Julia Epps

Julia Epps, age 83, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Julia was born in Kingsport to Joseph and Hazel Haynes on February 6, 1943. She was a long-time member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Julia will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents Julia is preceded in death by her husband Robert Epps; infant brother Joseph Glenn Haynes; infant grandson Christian Brooks; as well as her grandparents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Sherri Brooks; son Robert Brooks (Michele); grandchildren Chris Brooks (Jonna), Caileigh Whitehead (Isaac), and Conner Brooks; sisters Phyllis Hunt, Donna Byrd (Ronald), and Martha Cole (Randy); brother Michael Haynes; As well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.

A graveside service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Wade Childress officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Bloomingdale Baptist Church Choir Fund.
