Julie Ann Beckerink

Julie Ann Beckerink, age 79, of Kingsport, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 16, 2026. She was born on July 13, 1947, in Natchitoches, LA to Warren and Alene Nixdorf.

Julie was a member of Colonial Heights Christian Church and enjoyed volunteering in different activities there. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Julie loved going on family beach trips and Friday night pizza nights. She had a special heart for animals and would ask to pet any dog she came across.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years David Beckerink.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Scott (Lisa) Beckerink and Eric Beckerink; brother Richard (Marjorie) Nixdorf; niece Michelle Nixdorf; nephew Chad (Laura) Nixdorf; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home - Kingsport with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7:00 pm.

A special thanks to her caregivers of many years Faye McMurray, Ilene Brewer, Ginger Parks, Laura Bolla, Pat Wingar, and Lisa Allen.

In lieu of flowers in honor of Julie enjoy a Friday night family pizza night.
